The beauty and serenity of nature always inspires me during the holidays. Holly berries, ivy, songbirds and Christmas trees-these awaken my senses during this joyous season.

Using the same fabrics and threads (while working from the Madeira glossary of embroidery stitches) we will master the following techniques during our class time:

  • Granito
  • Back stitch
  • Padded satin stitch
  • Shadow work
  • French knot
  • Straight stitch

You will learn the steps involved to create these stitches along with several helpful hints for perfecting your work. Exercises for each will be provided along with comprehensive handouts to guide you through your stitching journey!
