Class Title: Who Has The Button? Boy’s Cap
Area of Study: Embroidery
Class Hours: 3
Class Type: Project
Skill Level: All
For this distinctive cap, we are using Ulster 1000 Linen in yellow with white for contrast. This darling cap has a side button chinstrap and a button-on brim for extra styling — just the opportunity for practicing hand-stitched buttonholes! The little cap will frame your baby boy′s face with style sporting ladder hemstitched bars surrounded by satin stitched bars and arrowheads.
Stitches and techniques mastered in this lesson include: removing threads to create hemstitched bars, basic and ladder hemstitching, satin stitching and stitching a hand buttonhole. All simple bonnet construction will be completed at home with detailed instructions included in your handout.
