Are you looking for a great place to hold your needle packs when working on a project? If so, my rose embroidered needlecase will fit your needs! This coin-type purse contains several pockets inside that fits any of today’s common flat needle packaging.
The class kit contains two contrasting pieces of fabric (linen) sewn together for you with all the embroidery design lines traced on it. No class time is wasted setting up this project – you can just jump in and start stitching!
You will master the following embroidery stitches during class:
- Bullion roses and buds
- French knots
- Fly stitch
- Wrapped stem/outline stitch
Ample time will be allotted near the end of class to discuss the simple steps needed for final construction of this project. All construction will be completed at home.
Complete Kit Contents: Two contrasting linen fabrics (fabric for embellishing is pre-sewn for you); grosgrain ribbon (for pockets); floche, needles, purse frame; plastic insert (needed for construction); cording/string (for construction); class handout and pattern
Pre-requisite: None
Student Supplies: embroidery scissors; contrast colored basting thread; 5″ round Bates embroidery hoop; light & magnification (required)
Home Supplies: Sewing machine; ¼” foot (optional); lace joining or edge stitching foot (optional); #70 universal machine needle; ruler; 2 spools of thread for construction (navy and white); fabric shears; paper scissors; tooth picks; flat head screw driver or stiletto.
