This beautiful infant size raglan sleeve daygown features blocks of filet lace netting portraying frolicking spring time animals at play. The blocks are surrounded with sprays of daisy-like flowers and granitos. The dress plackets, side tucks and hem are hemstitched along the fold.
Stitches and techniques mastered during class time are: preparing fabric for hemstitching (removing fabric threads), basic hemstitching, hemstitching along the fold, hemstitched bars, preparing fabric for lace netting, building the lace ground, darning the netting, backstitching, padded satin stitches, eyelets, granitos and hand stitched buttonholes.
Practice fabric will be given to each student to master their stitches if they desire. Simple gown construction details will be discussed in class however all construction will be completed at home.
