Area of Study: Embroidery Class Hours: 6 Class Type: Project Skill Level: All. Any student is welcome in this class. Knowledge of basic embroidery skills will help any beginner
feel comfortable.
The sweet shadow work cover-up and bonnet completes my "Smile a Day" ensemble! Like its counterpart "A Smile a Day Sandals" the
cover-up and bonnet are made of soft Pima fabrics finished off with piped edges. All items are enhanced with delicate shadow worked
bows and bullion buds.
Phyllis will demonstrate the possibilities that shadow work adds to any embroidered piece. Students will learn multiple ways to approach shadow work.
After exploring this, each student will master stem and outline stitching as well as simple bullion buds that are sprinkled throughout the embroidery design.
These beautifully embroidered items are the perfect projects for learning simple basics, but the end result is anything but ordinary with clusters of flowers and
bouquets of bows for dancing heads, shoulders and feet!
This is an embroidery class only - all construction will be completed at home.
