"Shadowing a square" introduces a unique way to add color and interest to your design. Shadowing happens when
embroidery threads or fabric pieces are added to the wrong side of your design creating a color change on the top of the fabric.
During class time we will explore this topic by mastering: basic shadow stitching; how to shadow stitch a square shape; how
to shadow work a square when hemstitching; and how to attach a fabric piece to a hemstitched square to achieve a color change.
Examples of each type of shadowing will be shown and suggestions will be made on how to incorporate these elements into your designs.
